نظریه پیمانه ای یا نظریه گیج یک مفهوم اساسی در فیزیک است که برای توصیف تعاملات بین ذرات و میدان‌ها به کار می‌رود. این نظریه به ما اجازه می‌دهد تا تغییرات معادله میدان را به وجود آوریم بدون آنکه خواص فیزیکی آن تغییر کند. به عبارت دیگر، ما می‌توانیم یک نظریه میدانی را تغییر دهیم (به گونه‌ای که گیج باشد)، اما نتایج اندازه‌گیری‌ها و پیش‌بینی‌ها همچنان با تغییر نکرده است.

Gauge theory is a fundamental concept in modern physics, particularly in the fields of particle physics and field theory. It is used to describe interactions between particles and fields. This theory allows us to make changes to field equations without altering their physical properties. In other words, we can “gauge” a field theory in such a way that it remains invariant under certain transformations, while measurement outcomes and predictions remain unchanged.
